New Sprouter

In the past, I've always used big jars for my sprouting. They work just fine, but you have to remember to rinse and drain all the sprouts about two or three times a day. While shopping for my own birthday present a few weeks back, I saw this automatic sprinkling, bpa-free sprouter and decided to buy it for myself. Why not?! I had been thinking of ways to get fresh sprouts and greens up here in the Interior of Alaska. The selection at the general store in town is often disappointing because it rarely survives the temperature extremes on the bush plane flights. (No one's fault btw.) So, let's give this gadget a go. I love to try new things. After setting this thing up on Sunday afternoon using distilled water, a little 3% hydrogen peroxide, and a variety pack of organic sprouting seeds....see for yourself. They're coming right along and, so far, I am well pleased.
